The "Transaction password/Consumption code" is a password to authorise the usage of points for ticket redemptions.

Why are points not credited into my membership account after ticket purchase?

First of all, you need to enrol in the scheme and pass the facial verification in order to activate your account. Points will be credited to your account within 5 days after you take a train.

Why are points not credited to my membership account after completion of train journey?

They will be credited as soon as possible. In the case of any missing points, please apply for them via China Railway 12306.cn, China Railway 12306 mobile app, Membership Counters or Ticketing Counters at designated stations, or call the 12306 Customer Services Hotline within 90 days from the date of travel.

Can I earn points by buying tickets for others?

No. Points are only offered for train trips made by a member.

What identity proof is required for ticket redemption at stations?

When members redeem tickets with points for themselves, they must present their original personal identification documents and the "Transaction password/Point password". If they redeem tickets for their friends on the assignee list, members are also required to present the original or copy of the registered personal identification document of the assignee.

Why can't I redeem tickets for the same train as I did previously?

The eligible trains for ticket redemption are updated from time to time. Please check the availability when searching for trains.
