Located at the west gate of Yueyang, Yueyang Pavilion is known as one of the three great towers of Jiangnan region alongside the Pavilion of Prince Teng and Yellow Crane Tower. The main tower is 21.35 metres high with three floors. The whole building is only supported by four large wood pillars without a single nail or crossbeam. Another feature of the pavilion is the shape of the roof resembling a general's helmet.

Transportation：
From High Speed Rail Yueyangdong Station, walk for about 7 minutes to Yueyangdong Bus Station and take Bus 55 towards Nanyuepo. Get off at the terminal and walk for about 8 minutes.

Content：
Dongting Lake is the second largest lake in China and is divided into five areas including East Dongting Lake, South Dongting Lake, West Dongting Lake, North Dongting Lake and Datong Lake, among which the East Dongting Lake is the largest with Junshan Island located within lake. Travellers may enjoy fresh fish and birdwatching on East Dongting Lake.

Transportation：
From High Speed Rail Yueyangdong Station, walk for about 7 minutes to Yueyangdong Bus Station and take Bus 55 towards Nanyuepo. Get off at the terminal and walk for about 8 minutes.

Tips: Since Dongting Lake covers a large area, various transportation means are available based on different points of interests. Travellers usually start from the Yueyang Pavilion. You may even take a boat trip around Dongting Lake at Chenglingji Port.

Content：
Junshan Island is viewable from the Yueyang Pavilion. There are a few of folklore stories that were originated and spread in the island. You may enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake nearby the Xiang Fei Temple and Liuyi Well.

Transportation：
From High Speed Rail Yueyangdong Station, walk for about 7 minutes to Yueyangdong Bus Station. Take Bus 55 towards Nanyuepo and get off at Beifu Road Bowen Foreign Language School. Change to Bus 15 towards Junshan Island Scenic Area. Get off at terminal and walk for about 2 minutes.

Alternatively, you may take a 47-minute taxi ride from Yueyangdong Station.
